A Night on the River

Afternoon showers brought a beautiful evening.
Cooler weather and a gentle breeze brought us out of the house. With the Mississippi river in our back yard we decided to enjoy it. We went down the road to a park in Kenner. It has a pier that ends at the water's edge.

Cricket watched as two men fished below on the banks of the river.

It seemed as if the ships stopped to watch the sunset too.

"I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and for you,
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world …
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world."
--Louis Armstrong

Shows that life will go on after devastation. It would be interesting to see pictures from a year ago and then now of the same thing.

Take care Bev - nice that you and Art could take the time to watch the sunset.
